Customs and traditions are a way of life here.

On behalf of your sponsoring Member, we are delighted to have you as a guest of Mountain Lake and hope this information will make your visit more enjoyable. While relaxed in many ways, as a top private golf community, our lifestyle is based on traditions that have not gone out of style. It is the responsibility of each Member to know and respect the rules and procedures observed at Mountain Lake. At all times, members are responsible for their own actions and the actions of their family members and guests.

Talking on cell phones is not permitted inside or outside any club structure at Mountain Lake with the following exceptions: in Colony House guest rooms, in personal vehicles and in the changing rooms by the swimming pool. This includes, but is not limited to, the Colony House, Pool House, Golf House, Tennis Shop, Fitness Center, Airebis, Golf Course, Tennis Courts, and Croquet Courts. Cell phones should be placed on silent mode at all times. Non-intrusive texting and camera use of a cell phone is permitted anywhere in the Park.

Denim and cargo pants are considered inappropriate attire anywhere at Mountain Lake. For gentlemen, hats are to be removed inside the Colony House and Pool House. Wearing a hat backwards is prohibited anywhere in the Park.

Casual Attire is defined as follows: Gentlemen shall wear collared shirts tucked in and slacks. Ladies shall wear blouses, sport shirts, sweaters, or collarless shirts with appropriate necklines and dress slacks, skirts or dresses.

Traditional  (Jacket and Tie)

Golf Course and Driving Range Attire

Only shoes with soft soles and soft spikes are allowed. Acceptable attire for ladies: Blouses, sport shirts, sweaters, or collarless shirts with appropriate necklines; golf slacks, golf skirts/skorts or Bermuda shorts (No Cargo Shorts) with a maximum of 3 inches above the knee. Acceptable attire for men: Sport shirts with collar, shirts tucked in; slacks or Bermuda shorts with a maximum of 3 inches above the knee.

Tennis Attire

White clothing only, color trim allowed. Only tennis shoes with correct soles may be worn to protect the clay court surface.

Croquet Attire

Clothing must be white. Skirts or shorts can be a maximum of 3 inches above the knee. Only white shoes with soft soles are permitted.
